Concrete Through Bolt Anchor
Design
This anchor is designed to be bolted through concrete. A round disc washer 10mm thick is placed on both sides to protect the concrete from chipping at the edges of the hole. Both washers are bonded to the concrete with Sika flex 11FC as this provides a seal/gasket and an adhesive for added strength.
Size
16mm Dia Concrete thickness:100mm – 200mm
Ultimate Yield
- 16mm = 15kN
- 30mm = 21kN
Application As Per AS/NZS1891.4:2009 Standards
- 1 Person Free Fall Arrest: 15kN
- 2 Person Free Fall Arrest: 21kN
- 1 Person Limited Free Fall Arrest: 12kN
NB:
- Anchorage strength applicable when using a restrain technique, is either 15kN or 12kN depending on whether the ultimate fall is free-fall or limited free-fall.
- ‘Ultimate strength’ means that the anchorage may yield at the stated load but must not fail.
Welding
All welding has been carried out by engineers that are certified to ASME IX Standards.
Sikaflex 11FC
Sikaflex 11FC is a sealant, gasket and an adhesive with a bonding strength of 50Kgs per 1mm square.
Installation
The installation should only be carried out by a competent person as set out in the AS/NZS 1891.4:2009 Standards. Collins Corporation Ltd. provide a warranty on product performance of the anchor but not the structure. It is the responsibility of the installer, building designer, or building owner to ensure that the structure to which the anchor is attached will support a load of at least 15kN as set out in the AS/NZS 1891.4:2009 Standards. If there is any doubt about the structures adequacy, a structural engineer should be consulted.
Warning:
Only competent users who have received training should use this equipment. (Refer to the AS/NZS 1891.4:2009 recommendations concerning selection, use and maintenance.)
